Thankful For My Classmates

I am thankful for a few of my classmates. The first that I am the most thankful for is Christion Rice. He helps be a better student and is my partner in class especially when we do group work in class. He  helps me better my learning experience. He presents good ideas and helps me better my ideas and class time. He also sometimes reminds me when we have homework when I see him out of class. He is the most helpful classmate I have in this class. Another classmate I am thankful for is Nyla David. She sometimes gets the chromebook for me so I don't have to get up. Another person who also occasionally does this for me is William Jamison. they both also help me with ideas in class. I am so very thankful to have Christion Rice, Nyla David, and William Jamison.

What Did Margaret Do?

Within the story "The Short Happy Life Of Francis Macomber", we see a struggle of control and power, all throughout the story. While seeing these power struggles we see the most consistent shifts of power between three people, Margaret, Wilson, and Francis. Within these power shifts we see Margaret, the wife of Francis trying her best to keep the power away from her husband. These shifts happen all throughout the story.
At the end of the story we see Francis in a life threatening situation, he is being charged at by a buffalo that he previously thought that he had killed. As the buffalo began to charge towards him, we see Francis and Wilson fire at the buffalo, but both of there aims are off. Finally right when the buffalo is around a foot or so away, Margaret takes a shot and just "happens" to land right in his skull. Now the debate is on whether or not she did this on purpose. In my opinion she did on accident and purpose. I believe she got caught up in the moment and saw an opportunity, and she took it. I believe that she got caught up in the moment and didn't think for the long term. I believe that when she did it, her instinct was to regain power, and she could of regained it by shooting either Francis or the buffalo.

Six Word Stories

The boy tripped, fell,and died.

He looked back never to return.

Anger; Was all the girl knew.

Agreed. Then I changed my mind.

You coming? Left on sent forever.

Can I return my wedding dress?

Take this; I'm through with you.

Maybe this time I'll hurt less.

The love; it's no longer real.

He found his soulmate. She didn't.

John Proctor, "Hero Or Stooge"?

In my opinion John Proctor is both hero and stooge. But first lets start by defining what a hero is. To me, a hero is someone who has problems or obstacles in there life, but find a way to overcome using some type of remarkable quality like bravery, self-sacrifice, or courage for example. To me John Procter did show of bit of courage by telling the truth, and trying to save some of his fellow colleagues,  but in the end, in my opinion, Proctor shows more qualities of being a stooge.  Some of the things that make him lean more towards the side of being a stooge is how he changed his mind right before he was hung. He did not save himself nor anyone else which was basically his goal. Therefore he did not overcome his obstacle and especially didn't over come the obstacle of saving his own life which pushes him even more to the stooge side. Also another thing that doesn't help was his motives. He wasn't really trying to save anyone out of the goodness of his heart. That is one major quality many heroes have in my opinion. He only really went to Salem because of his wife once you really think about the whole matter. In the end, Proctor is nor fully Hero nor Stooge, but tends to have more tendencies of being a stooge.

"There Goes the Neighborhood"

"There Goes the Neighborhood"

Typically when two or more groups come together and inherit the same territory there can be a mix of effects. One of the many possibilities are that the two (or more) groups may come together and make one big combined society. Another one of the outcomes can be where one group dominates the other, which is what typically happens. One example of the many examples of when this has happened is how the European conquerors took over much of North and South America. The Indians that they had conquered treated them very nice, almost like gods, and the Europeans basically treated them like slaves. The Indians gave them very important and valuable items like gold and fur, while the Europeans gave them thing that they didn't need like broken glass for example. The Indians later basically regretted treating the Europeans so well. But this are some of the possibilities that can happen when two or more groups of people share the same space.
